Job Title: Bus Driver

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Bus Driver to transport students to and from Caloundra Christian College. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely arrival of students, as well as maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the school bus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide safe and timely transportation services for students to and from school
  • Operate the school bus in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
  • Perform pre-trip safety maintenance checks and document in line with vehicle inspection procedures
  • Identify and report any defects or issues with the school bus
  • Ensure the school bus is in good operating and roadworthy condition at all times
  • Perform minor maintenance duties as required
  • Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to the Transport Coordinator
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students on board the bus
Requirements:
  • Minimum MR class licence
  • Current Queensland Drivers Authority
  • Current Queensland Working with Children Blue Card
  • Current First Aid Certificate with CPR
  • Maintain full vaccination status for COVID
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and staff
  • Ability to understand and follow rules, oral and written instructions, and regulations
  • Awareness of Workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 4 hours per day on school days, with the possibility of additional charter work between morning and afternoon school runs.

The school bus will be provided by the college, and the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bus.
