Assistant Accountant

We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our accounting team. The successful candidate will provide support with financial and project accounting, as well as payroll and accounts payable functions.

  • Support the accounting team with timely updates of transactional accounting activities to maintain accurate general ledger and sub ledgers.

This position requires a strong understanding of accounting practices, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and associated practices.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in commerce, finance, or business.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in accounts, payroll, or accounting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Managing and applying finance, accounts, and/or payroll processes.
  • Providing guidance to operational personnel on accounts and payroll practices.
  • Liaising, mediating, and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders.
