The Team Overview

  • Tasmania is part of a nationwide program of work that delivers innovations in the treatment of eating disorders.
  • The Tasmanian Eating Disorder Service (TEDS) is a new service that provides integrated specialist care for adults with an eating disorder.

We are seeking clinicians with an interest in eating disorders who possess a passion for delivering quality mental health services.

The Role Details:

As a key member of the TEDS multidisciplinary team, deliver high-quality mental health services aligned with the Mental Health Strategic Plan and relevant professional competencies.

The Psychologist – Tasmanian Eating Disorder Service (TEDS) will be responsible for providing quality psychological services using evidence-based principles within a collaborative framework.

  • Deliver evidence-based psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions to individuals with an eating disorder and their families or carers.

You will need to ensure the delivery of comprehensive psychological assessments and case management, including the provision of support and consultation to other team members as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide evidence-based psychological assessment and treatment interventions for clients with complex mental health problems.
  • Develop and implement specialized treatment programs for clients with major and complex mental health issues.
  • Participate actively as a member of the multidisciplinary team and contribute to the development of strategic plans and policies.

Appointment Details:

  • Permanent part-time day worker position working 45.6 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
  • Flexible working arrangements may be negotiated with the successful applicant.
