As a skilled midwife, you will be part of a dynamic and fast-paced environment providing high-quality pregnancy, birth and postnatal care to patients. Our maternity unit features modern facilities, including a 24-bed ward and five birth suites.

Role Overview

We seek a compassionate midwife who can work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, promoting effective communication and teamwork within the ward and hospital. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating patient care with support from senior staff as needed
  • Providing patient education and acting as a resource where appropriate
  • Supporting and supervising staff and students, including orientating and preceptoring new staff

You will be expected to contribute to the achievement of operational objectives while maintaining a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Midwife, with recent clinical experience in maternity or a similar environment. A sound knowledge of relevant legislation, professional codes and standards is essential.
