A Claims and Injury Management Specialist plays a crucial role in managing workers' compensation claims and supporting injured employees in their return to work. This position requires a proactive and experienced individual who can develop and implement effective return-to-work plans, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and maintain compliance with relevant laws and systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement return-to-work (RTW) plans in line with industry standards and legislation.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, providers, and regulators to ensure seamless claim management.
- Coordinate case conferences and ensure timely claim documentation to facilitate efficient claim processing.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and systems, including Solv and Cintellate, to ensure compliance and optimal claim outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of injury management processes, focusing on continuous improvement and reporting.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in injury and claims management, preferably in self-insured environments.
- Strong knowledge of workers' compensation legislation, particularly in South Australia, with familiarity with other states an advantage.
- Experience in developing and implementing RTW plans and utilizing claims management platforms.
- Excellent communication and project coordination skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with various stakeholders.
- Desirable: Experience working in the construction materials or industrial minerals manufacturing industry.
