Customer Service and Sales Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Casual Kiosk/Service Assistant for our Aquatic and Leisure Centres. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and multicultural environment, providing exceptional service to our customers.

The role involves displaying a positive attitude, communicating information about our facilities, services, and programs to our customers, and maintaining a clean, enjoyable, and safe working environment. Previous experience in customer service, cash handling, and/or the retail food industry would be beneficial.

The position offers variable hours pending centre operational requirements and availability. If you have a can-do personality and a passion to deliver exceptional customer service, this may be the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing exceptional service within the aquatic and leisure environment
  • Maintaining a clean, enjoyable, and safe working environment
Requirements:
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience handling monies
  • Current Working with Children Check
Desirable Skills:
  • Current class C driver's licence
  • Computer knowledge/experience
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Oxygen Equipment Certificate
  • Food Handling Certificate
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Availability to work flexible working hours
Remuneration and Benefits:

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council's Enterprise Agreement. The entry-level rate for this position starts at $28.7521 per hour plus 25% casual loading. Trainee rates apply for applicants under 19 years of age. Penalty rates apply for weekend shifts. Casual working hours are available.

The position also offers employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 11.5% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
