Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced lecturer to join our Computing Discipline in the School of Electrical Engineering, Computing and Mathematical Sciences. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering cutting-edge courses in robotics/automation and cybersecurity, as well as conducting high-quality research in these areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in robotics/automation and cybersecurity, ensuring relevance and alignment with industry needs.
  • Conduct research in threat and vulnerability detection, intrusion detection systems for cloud and edge robots, and robotic behavioural anomaly detection.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to foster an interdisciplinary academic environment.
  • Supervise and mentor students in research projects and dissertations related to robotics/automation and cybersecurity.
  • Engage with industry partners and stakeholders to identify research opportunities and potential collaborations.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive remuneration package, we offer a range of benefits, including generous leave entitlements, flexible working arrangements, and a supportive work environment.

This is a continuing (permanent) role, requiring permanent work rights in Australia. As a Lecturer in Computer Science and Cybersecurity, you will play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of experts in this field.
