HVAC Specialist

A career opportunity has arisen for a skilled HVAC Service Technician/Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team at Ventia.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing technical work on building services equipment, including refrigeration equipment, to ensure that all work carried out meets safety, quality, and customer standards.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Displaying solid hands-on technical skills developed through trade training and experience.
• Displaying a solid understanding of air conditioning and refrigeration principles and systems and the relevant codes and industry standards that govern their installation and maintenance.
• Effectively diagnosing problems and performing work of a technical nature on air conditioning systems and refrigeration systems.
• Proactively addressing customer complaints and demonstrating competence in establishing and maintaining long-term relationships with clients.
• Observing quality and technical procedures, work instructions, and practices.
• Ensuring that technical procedures and inspection and test plans are performed in accordance with quality assurance requirements.

About the role:

• Minimum 5 years relevant industry experience.
• Certificate III in Electro-technology or equivalent trade qualification.
• S permit (Restricted Electrical Licence) preferred.
• A solid understanding of air conditioning systems and the relevant codes and industry standards.
• Good working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.
• Ability to learn and use proprietary software necessary to support the position.
• Current Drivers Licence.
• Basic understanding of Computerised Maintenance Management System.
• ARTIC Licence.
• Assessment Certificate from TRE where required.
