Department Leader

We are seeking a visionary leader to join our leadership team. As the Department Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and advancing the educational direction of the school.

You will contribute to the broader vision of the education sector, driving excellence through the development of high-quality teaching and learning practices. Your leadership will foster a collaborative and supportive environment, where strong relationships with students, staff, and key stakeholders are cultivated and maintained.

The successful candidate will lead the school department to develop a shared educational vision, set high standards for student and staff performance, form partnerships with students, parents, and community groups, and embed the General Capabilities and Cross Curricular Priorities into the curriculum.

About the Role

In this capacity, you will report directly to the Principal or their delegate, upholding a standard of accountability and commitment to educational success. You will align the three levels of curriculum planning to the Australian Curriculum and the requirements of the K-12 Framework.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and articulate a shared educational vision for the school department.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Form partnerships with students, parents, and community groups.
  • Embed the General Capabilities and Cross Curricular Priorities into the curriculum.
  • Align the three levels of curriculum planning to the Australian Curriculum and the K-12 Framework.
