We work on projects of all sizes, from one-off developments to mega-programmes, covering everything from leading teams, planning works, tracking progress, and business case delivery to bringing assets into use.

In this Senior Planner role, you will have knowledge in:

  • Working in an integrated planning and cost environment to optimize the use of available resources to complete work plan scopes within budget and time constraints.
  • Ensuring that the established planning and scheduling methodology is followed in developing project schedules.
  • Developing project milestones and progress tracking baselines.
  • Assessing subcontractor compliance with established scheduling methodology.
  • Supporting the development of the Work Breakdown Structure to support project delivery.
  • Performing analysis of schedule data; identifying trends, issues, and areas requiring attention to the Lead Planner and the Project Team.
  • Contributing to schedule reporting, including schedule forecast updates and schedule contingency management.
  • Supporting schedule performance updates, analysis, and reports in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring compatibility of contractors' schedules with the integrated schedules/milestones.
  • Analyzing resource requirement and availability impacts on the schedule and recommending recovery options.

Qualifications:

  • Must be in Western Australia with full working rights.
  • A recognized degree qualification in a relevant field.
  • Relevant industry experience ideally in the Natural Resources sector (Mining, Oil & Gas, Green Energy, etc).
  • Experience in planning and scheduling of capital projects.
  • Practical exposure to network planning structures and techniques, basic understanding of Primavera Project Planner 6.0 or above, and Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English with excellent report writing skills.
  • Collaborative and ability to work as part of a national team.
  • Strong time management skills, quick thinking, and resilience to deal with a fast-paced environment.
