We are seeking an experienced Urban Planning Expert to join our Brisbane team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across various sectors and geographies, with a focus on delivering high-quality results in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

About the Role

This is a client-facing position that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with government agencies, private clients, and internal project teams. You will be responsible for providing strategic and statutory planning advice, preparing planning reports and studies, and coordinating due diligence reports, planning proposals, and development applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the preparation of planning reports, studies, and strategic planning projects;
  • Coordinate studies and projects, including due diligence reports, planning proposals, and development applications;
  • Work directly with clients, internal and external project team members, government, and other stakeholders;
  • Collaborate with colleagues at RPS to deliver projects and achieve business objectives;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualifications in urban or town planning (or equivalent);
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the planning/approvals/environment assessment industry, preferably in QLD or NSW;
  • Strong knowledge of planning legislation, policies, and best practices;
  • Excellent writing and communication skills;
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines;
