Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Data Services Consultant. This role will be responsible for providing technical expertise, commercial insight, and values-driven culture to create an environment where you can truly see your career differently.

The ideal candidate will have strong oral and written communication skills, a structured, methodical approach to problem solving, and sound knowledge of service desk and incident management.

This is a broad-ranging role that will involve designing and developing enhancements to client DW/BI solutions using best practice methodology, investigating and resolving issues, maintaining records, and advising relevant persons of actions taken.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing first line support to managed services clients.
  • Performing a broad range of work in a variety of technologies and environments.
  • Planning, scheduling, and monitoring own work within short time horizons.
  • Contribute to the on-going development of the Managed Support function through mentoring by sharing knowledge, experience, and expertise with other team members.

Our team works collaboratively with other teams to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions.

On a roster that may include some weekend activities, this role requires a tertiary qualification in IT-related subject or relevant work experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, the following skills and qualifications are required:

  • 1+ years' experience working in teams to provide IT support to clients.
  • 1+ years' hands-on experience in ETL and BI tools such as Microsoft (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS).
  • Report development/support using Power BI and/or Tableau.
  • Experience using cloud-based tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, DBT, Matillion, or others.
  • BASIC SQL Scripting Skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Experience in Azure administration or development/support using Azure functions.
  • Ability to work as part of on-call rotations.

Tertiary qualification in IT-related subject or relevant work experience, preferably 1+ year's experience working in teams to provide IT support to clients.

Hands-on experience in ETL and BI tools such as Microsoft (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) and report development/support using Power BI and/or Tableau.

Cloud-based tool experience including Azure Data Factory, Databricks, DBT, Matillion, or others and BASIC SQL Scripting Skills.
