About the Role

The Senior People Manager is a key and strategic HR business partner at Qantas. This role drives the people plan, initiatives, programs, and supports the business to achieve its operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner effectively with the business, closely collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure needs are understood and incorporated into HR strategies.
  • Support a varied workgroup of operational employees and support functions in this role, no day will be the same.
  • Drive impactful change and excellence in People practices.

What You'll Bring

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated business partnering capability with experience in an operational and industrial workforce.
  • Proven ability managing change and building organisational capability.
  • Strong stakeholder management ability.
  • Proven ability to work in a matrixed environment with a geographically dispersed workforce.
  • Proven interpersonal and relationship development skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously whilst remaining collaborative and considered as a part of a broader team.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills with an ability to communicate in both technical and business language.
  • Driven to succeed, self-motivated, and able to work independently with limited direction or guidance.
  • Aviation industry knowledge.
