Job Title: IT Support Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team at Bayside Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to our employees, troubleshooting issues, and implementing IT projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to employees via phone, email, and instant messaging
  • Troubleshoot issues independently and autonomously
  • Develop and execute IT projects impacting manufacturing facilities and corporate staff
  • Monitor and troubleshoot computer systems and networks
  • Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, printers, and scanners
  • Repair and replace computer equipment as necessary
  • Provide support to existing team members to deliver a seamless, productive experience
  • Provide remote support to end users who are working from home or in other time zones
  • Rack and configure IT equipment on-site

Requirements:

  • Must be available to work on-site
  • 3+ years working experience in IT helpdesk or equivalent
  • Self-starter, able to work autonomously and research issues independently
  • Able to leverage and collaborate with remote colleagues
  • Experience administering Windows and Mac environments
  • Familiar working with a command line interface
  • Knowledge of thermal printer troubleshooting
  • Ability to work on project tasks while maintaining daily operations
  • Communicate technical issues comprehensively to a non-technical crowd
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Excellent people and project management skills
  • Scrappiness and resourcefulness; Willing to jump in, learn, get your hands dirty and tackle problems
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed with prior notice/approval from management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing user permissions through Active Directory, GSuite, and Slack
  • Basic knowledge of scripting language (Powershell, bash, etc.)
  • Wide format printer experience
  • Capable of independently handling a single site/system outage
  • Experience in a fast-growing organization
  • 5+ years working experience in IT
  • Experience working in a mixed Linux / Windows environment
  • Comfortable configuring network equipment, solid understanding of IP addressing, networking concepts (OSI, TCP/IP models)
  • Experience utilizing RMM/MDM tools (Solarwinds, Jamf, InTune, etc)
