Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Gastroenterology Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing clinical management and consultation services to patients with conditions applicable to the sub-speciality of Gastroenterology.

The successful candidate will participate in an on-call roster, including emergency endoscopy procedures for Central Coast Local Health District. They will collaborate effectively in a team environment, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Additionally, they will serve as a Senior Medical Practitioner in Gastroenterology, with expertise in supervision and training of junior medical staff.

In this role, you will contribute to quality improvement methodologies and demonstrate commitment to Caring for the Coast vision, goals, and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical management and consultation services to patients with conditions applicable to the sub-speciality of Gastroenterology.
  • Participate in an on-call roster, including emergency endoscopy procedures for Central Coast Local Health District.
  • Collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Serve as a Senior Medical Practitioner in Gastroenterology, with expertise in supervision and training of junior medical staff.
  • Contribute to quality improvement methodologies and demonstrate commitment to Caring for the Coast vision, goals, and strategies.

Requirements:

  • Registration as a Medical Practitioner in Australia, inclusive of an unrestricted 19AB exempted provider number.
  • Recognised specialist qualifications, such as Fellowship of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
  • Appropriate experience to practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner in Gastroenterology.
  • Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) conjoint approval in Panendoscopy, Colonoscopy, ERCP, and EUS.
