Facilities Electrician Specialist

Job Overview:
The primary objective of this role is to oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems and associated equipment within the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections and perform preventative maintenance duties on electrical systems
- Install and replace electrical components and equipment as needed
- Troubleshoot electrical issues with motors, fuses, transformers, transfer switches, wiring, and circuits
- Test electrical systems using oscilloscopes, voltmeters, ohmmeters, etc.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth operations and adherence to safety protocols
- Develop and implement plans for improving electrical system efficiency and reducing downtime
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in electrical engineering
- Provide guidance and training to junior electricians and support their career development
Requirements & Expectations:
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Skills:
- Proficiency in electrical engineering principles and practices
- Knowledge of local and national electrical codes
- Experience with heavy equipment operation (forklift, scissor lift, boom lift)
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
