Occupational Therapy Clinical Supervisor Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively within a dynamic occupational therapy department for the provision of clinical supervision, teaching and coordination of educational activities for students on clinical placements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all undergraduate occupational therapy and allied health assistant placements
  • Liaise with relevant universities and registered training organisations
  • Provide direct supervision of occupational therapy students
  • Carry a clinical caseload and perform administrative tasks
  • Participate in clinical supervision, quality improvement activities, and service development

Requirements:

  • Recognised degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Recent and varied experience in clinical student supervision and/or staff supervision
  • Understanding of adult learning styles and teaching methods
  • Excellent organisational, negotiation, and written and verbal communication skills
  • High-level clinical expertise and knowledge of a wide range of clinical conditions in Occupational Therapy
