The Role

This Risk Analyst position will contribute to our sustainability efforts by providing insights into commodities and trading positions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Daily risk reporting, including position reporting, mark-to-market, and Value-at-Risk analysis.
  • Supporting the Risk Reporting Team to produce daily and weekly risk reports across the business.
  • Analyzing commodity market trends and financial market movements.
  • Maintaining commodity market analysis and trading position data on a daily basis.
  • Assisting with analysis for the Risk Assessment Unit.
  • Developing and maintaining weekly reporting for the Management Risk Committee (MRC).
  • Providing quarterly MRC and Audit Risk Committee (ARC) reporting, along with research material and analysis.
  • Maintaining scenario modeling and stress testing of commodity and trading positions.
  • Ensuring compliance with Treasury policies and procedures.

About Your Experience

We seek a candidate with a strong background in finance and analytics, particularly in corporate finance and financial accounting. A tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a relevant field is required.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Quantitative risk analysis models.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Capacity to transpose quantitative thinking to practical applications.
  • Experience with risk analysis software and data libraries.
