Job Overview">

The Wellbeing Practitioner will be working closely with the Wellbeing Team, school leaders, teachers, education support staff and families to provide a coordinated approach to student mental health and wellbeing. Students can access support through our referral process.

  • Provide crisis care to students presenting with immediate risk through the Wellbeing Triage roster.">
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and safety planning to manage and coordinate student presentations of risk.">
  • Offer secondary consultation to school leaders and staff regarding mental health and wellbeing concerns.">
  • Collaborate with students and their families to develop individualized intervention plans using the 5 P's formulation framework.">
  • Deliver therapeutic counselling support to students through our Single Session Appointment model.">
  • Provide short-term case management and advocacy support to students and their families to connect them with relevant community resources.">
  • Develop and deliver therapeutic groupwork programs tailored to specific student needs.">
  • Offer psychoeducation to students and their families on various mental health and wellbeing topics.">
  • Maintain accurate documentation and record keeping.">

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor qualification or specialist/postgraduate qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing (mental health specialisation), or Occupational Therapy. A current Working with Children Check and driver's license are also required.
