**Job Title:** Skilled Meat Cutting Expert

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled meat cutting expert to join our team at Skilled Jobs Australia in Wetherill Park, Sydney. As a skilled meat cutting expert, you will be responsible for operating switching controls, cutting meat to separate meat, fat, and tissue from around bones, washing, scraping, and trimming meat.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate switching controls to direct and drop carcasses and meat cuts from supply rails to boning tables.
  • Cutting meat to separate meat, fat, and tissue from around bones.
  • Washing, scraping, and trimming meat.
  • Cutting sides and quarters of meat into standard meat cuts, such as legs, flanks, and shoulders, and trimming to prepare them for packing and marketing.

Requirements:

  • Excellent knife skills and maintenance of personal equipment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent reliability, attendance, and timekeeping at work.
  • Good communication and positive teamwork.
  • Sound problem-solving capabilities, including reporting malfunctioning of equipment, or workplace health and safety issues.
  • Ability to manage priorities to meet production schedules.
  • Ability to work within a cold storage environment and with raw meat products.
  • Sound understanding of Australian meat industry.
  • AQF Certificate III in Meat Processing.
  • Must complete a Pre-employment medical functional drug and alcohol test.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience.

Remuneration:

This will be subject to your skills, qualifications, and experience but it would be within a salary range providing an annualized salary of $70,000-$80,000 per annum + superannuation.
