Job Opportunity in Physical Education

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic educator to lead our specialist Physical Education program. This role offers the chance to design and implement a comprehensive and engaging program that promotes movement, physical skills, wellbeing, resilience, and teamwork.

About the Role
  • Build strong relationships with students, encouraging confidence, participation, and a sense of belonging in all aspects of Physical Education.
  • Plan and deliver a developmentally appropriate Physical Education program for primary-aged students that promotes physical literacy, enjoyment of movement, and lifelong healthy habits.
  • Create inclusive PE lessons that foster students' physical, social, and emotional wellbeing through a variety of sports, games, and active experiences.
  • Promote positive values such as teamwork, resilience, and respect through structured physical activity.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all physical activities by adhering to risk management practices and inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Support whole-school events such as athletics carnivals, interschool sports, and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to embed movement and health education into broader learning where appropriate.
  • Monitor and assess student progress in Physical Education, providing meaningful feedback to support development and growth.
  • Uphold the school's Catholic identity, values, and ethos in all professional interactions and practices.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Physical Education pedagogy and curriculum.
  • Experience in planning and delivering engaging and inclusive PE programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Committed to ongoing professional learning and development.
