Job Title

A cybersecurity professional is needed to fill a role in our organization.

We are seeking an experienced Security Specialist with extensive experience in security operations and advisory roles. This position will be responsible for overseeing daily Cyber security operations, including security incident and event monitoring, incident response and threat management to maintain a secure environment. Additionally, the successful candidate will coordinate vulnerability assessments and patch management processes to address security gaps and enhance system resilience.

This role requires excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will have proven experience working with network security devices, including firewalls, WAFs and other threat prevention appliances. They should also have experience logging and monitoring, with the ability to support respective teams in fine tuning alerts in a SIEM solution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Security Operations: Oversee daily Cyber security operations, including security incident and event monitoring, incident response and threat management to maintain a secure environment.
  • Vulnerability Management: Coordinate vulnerability assessments and patch management processes to address security gaps and enhance system resilience.
  • Security Governance: Will be involved in governance reviews of ICT changes managed internally or by Government's contracted service providers or established panels.
  • Architecture Reviews and Security Advisory: Conduct comprehensive security architecture reviews to identify and mitigate risks in system designs and provide appropriate security advice as part of ICT projects.
Requirements
  • Extensive Experience: 5 to 10+ years experience in Security Operations or advisory roles particularly in infrastructure, cloud environments.
  • Networking Skills: Experience working with network security devices including firewalls, WAFs and other threat prevention appliances.
  • Monitoring Skills: Experienced in logging and monitoring with ability to support respective teams in fine tuning alerts in a SIEM solution.
  • Vulnerability Assessment: Proven track record in conducting/facilitating vulnerability assessment, patch management and coordinating remediation with business owners.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
