This is an opportunity to join our engineering team as a System Integration Engineer. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and integrating complex systems, including control systems.
The successful candidate will work under the direction of senior engineers to provide full-service capabilities, including assessment, planning, design, automation programming/configuration, testing and commissioning, and maintenance for control systems across multiple industries.
This role requires coordination with multidisciplinary design teams and participation in developing system construction documents for projects in various market sectors, including oil & gas; food & beverage; logistics; manufacturing; mining; general industrial, transportation, technology, media & telecom, healthcare, research, life sciences; and water/wastewater.
This individual should be self-motivated with attention to detail and initiative to deliver high-quality, technically sound system designs.
Responsibilities- Select and specify process instrumentation, control panels, and network equipment.
- Develop biddable and technically accurate system construction documents, including P&IDs, network architecture diagrams, control panel layouts and wiring diagrams, installation details, loop drawings, operational sequences and technical specifications.
- Coordinate the work of system team members with the full multi-discipline project team throughout a project's design development and construction – including site layout, process design, mechanical control, power and conduit coordination, panel location, remote equipment monitoring, integration to 3rd party systems, networking, and instrumentation locations.
- Develop Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programs and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) applications.
- Participate in design review and planning meetings with clients.
- Review supplier submittals, respond to RFIs, conduct Field Observations on construction sites and develop reports.
- Establish and maintain client relationships, and participate in marketing, design, and production meetings regarding systems and control.
- Utilize CAD software, including AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Visio.
- Manage workload to complete tasks on schedule.
- Report project status, performance, and quality updates to the Section Manager.
- Exposure to multiple market sectors and core services of our global program.
- Training and development to build skillset to serve as subject matter expert (SME).
- Serve as Engineer of Record in responsible charge for the development of biddable and technically accurate system construction documents.
- Active participation in industry professional societies, trade shows, and conferences.
- Advancement to Senior System Designer/Engineer.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.
- Experience in building automation, specifically Data Center or Healthcare experience a plus.
- Industrial process control experience a plus.
- OT Network design experience for industrial control and building management systems a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity considerations for systems a plus.
- PLC/DCS/DDC programming or SCADA HMI configuration experience a plus.
