HelloFresh, a leading global food technology company, is seeking an experienced Food Technologist to join its team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in innovating fresh meal products that customers trust.



About the Role:


This permanent full-time position offers a salary of $85,000 - $95,000 per annum, depending on experience. Based in Karawatha, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a diverse and vibrant international team.



Job Description
  • Innovate new fresh meal products through close collaboration with the Menu Development Team, ensuring scalability and high-quality standards.
  • Work closely with Planning and Operations to schedule and oversee factory trials, guaranteeing smooth transitions of concept recipes to production.
  • Conduct factory trials, train staff, monitor product quality, and document findings in Trial Reports.
  • Develop and manage in-house product and process specifications.
  • Set up packing lines for metal detection, weight scale calibration, and inkjet printing.
  • Promote ongoing continuous improvement (CI) initiatives to enhance product quality, process efficiencies, and reduce costs.
  • Perform shelf-life validation, sensory evaluation, and reheat analysis of new concepts.
  • Cordinate microbiological and chemical testing, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
  • Generate product information for labelling and assess raw materials for compliance and sensory attributes.


Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Food Science and Technology.
  • Knowledge of FSANZ and Australian labelling legislation.
  • Experience working with Foodworks or similar nutrition software.
  • Hands-on experience in New Product Development and implementation.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across different departments.
  • Flexibility, problem-solving skills, and the ability to troubleshoot in real-time.
