Teaching Opportunity in Health and Physical Education

We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified staff member to deliver the curriculum in Health and Physical Education at a vibrant, well-established independent college.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about learning and enjoy working in a strong, values-driven culture. They will have the ability to address diverse learner needs by collaborating with support staff and integrate technology to enhance learning.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the curriculum using diverse and effective teaching strategies
  • Collaborate with support staff to address diverse learner needs
  • Integrate technology to enhance student learning outcomes
  • Dedicate time to lesson planning and organisation
  • Assess and provide meaningful feedback on student progress
  • Write academic reports according to guidelines
  • Develop and assess learning materials
  • Support co-curricular programs as needed
  • Manage equipment, materials, and first aid needs
  • Maintain accurate student attendance records
  • Maintain Professional Development
  • Maintain appropriate confidentiality
  • Attend scheduled subject and staff meetings
  • Maintain a manner of life that reflects an adherence to and support for Christian beliefs and values

Requirements:

  • A current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration (or equivalent)
  • Relevant teaching qualifications
  • Full working rights in Australia
