Residential Youth Support Specialist

Providing high-quality care to young people in residential settings is a critical aspect of this role.
Job DescriptionAs a Residential Care Worker, you will be responsible for delivering direct care and supervision to young people. This includes developing and implementing individualised care plans tailored to each client's needs, assisting with daily activities, promoting self-care, education, and recreational activities, maintaining a safe and positive living environment, building trusting relationships with young people, providing emotional support and guidance, and ensuring accurate records and documentation are kept.
This position requires a highly motivated and organised individual who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of young people. If you have experience working with young people or children and possess relevant qualifications and skills, we encourage you to apply.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A valid Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
- Relevant Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or Certificate IV in Community Services, Youth/Social Work, or related field.
- Experience working with young people or children.
- Experience in support work-related fields, such as disability, mental health, aged care, and childcare.
- Ongoing training and development opportunities, including Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and The Sanctuary Model framework.
- Consistent rosters and supportive team culture.
- Wellness initiatives and access to the Sonder wellbeing app for 24/7 support.
