Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team of professionals working on projects within Defence, Transport, Energy, and Infrastructure in WA and nationally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage junior engineers and drafters, leading small teams towards agreed outcomes and implementing corrective action when necessary.
- Design and Analysis: Undertake calculations for design and analysis to Australian Standards.
- Tender Preparation: Prepare tender documents, including work breakdown structures, scopes, exclusions/inclusions, and estimate design and documentation effort.
- Liaison and Communication: Liaise with asset owners, operators, contractors, and other consultants, attending meetings and disseminating information as required.
- Design Documentation: Progress design documentation, using experience to mark up and sketch design intent into project drawings.
- Quality Assurance: Review other engineer's designs or drafter's documentation and provide constructive feedback to further develop quality of deliverables.
- Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers and develop team spirit.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
- Professional Certifications: Chartered Professional Engineer preferred.
- Australian Standards and Industry Guidelines: Proficient in most typical Australian Standards and industry guidelines for bridges, buildings, and infrastructure, working in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and legal requirements.
- Software Proficiency: Experienced with structural analysis computer software, including Spacegass and Microsoft suite of programs.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience in a consulting environment.
- Residency: Must currently reside in Australia and hold Australian permanent residency or citizenship.
