About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health Officer to join our team in the Health Protection and Regulation Branch. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing policy advice on state-wide operational practices, service improvements, and legislative guidance to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide policy advice on environmental health risks and hazards to human health
  • Develop and implement state and national programs to control public health risks
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide legislative guidance and support
  • Contribute to the development of evidence-based solutions for complex environmental health issues
Requirements
  • Minimum tertiary degree in Environmental Health or Health-related Sciences
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications highly desirable
  • Membership or eligibility to qualify for membership of the Australasian College of Toxicology & Risk Assessment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
