About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Accountant to join our Administration team based at our Head Office in Yatala. This role offers a varied and challenging opportunity with exposure across all areas of the business, making it an excellent choice for a professional looking to grow their career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records
  • Maintain and update truck schedules for settlements
  • Reconcile floorplan accounts to identify any discrepancies
  • Manage asset registers to ensure up-to-date records
  • Assist with wage processing and posting journals to DMS
  • Support with month-end management reporting
  • Monthly reconciliation for various G/L accounts
  • Review creditors to ensure compliance with company guidelines
  • Review branch cash accounts and bank locations to ensure adherence to company standards
  • Perform ad-hoc data analysis
  • Maintain WebExpense users
  • Assist with account/admin queries from branches

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting or Bachelor of Accounting
  • Strong customer focus, self-motivation, and enthusiasm
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organisational skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Able to multitask
