Mills Recruitment is a leading recruitment agency seeking a dynamic Production Team Leader for a fabrication role in Perth's manufacturing industry. This position plays a vital role in managing daily factory operations, ensuring work progresses smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Workshop Organisation: Maintain a well-organised workshop environment, keeping team members informed about safety protocols, task assignments, resource availability, and productivity metrics.
  • Production Planning: Participate actively in production planning, including regular meetings to optimise processes and improve efficiency.
  • Toolbox Meetings: Organise and lead regular toolbox meetings to ensure jobs are thoroughly prepared, and team members are aware of their responsibilities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Installation Team Leader to ensure timely job deliveries to the site.
  • Resource Allocation: Monitor and manage the allocation of workshop resources and equipment, including CNC jobs, to meet production schedules.
  • Team Support: Ensure the production team has the necessary data, materials, and equipment to adhere to the production schedule.
  • Day-to-Day Management: Manage the day-to-day work of team members, ensuring all output meets specifications, schedules, and budgets to a high standard.
  • Performance Evaluation: Work closely with the Operations Manager to evaluate team performance, develop strengths, and address weaknesses.
About You
  • A Certificate III in Cabinetmaking or Carpentry with practical experience is essential.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role with strong leadership skills is required.
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and time management abilities are necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
  • A commitment to WHS leadership and promoting a safe work environment is mandatory.
  • The ability to interpret detailed technical information is required.
  • Physical fitness, including the ability to lift approximately 30kg, is necessary.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing and installation issues.
  • A current white card and valid Australian driver's license are required.
