Role Profile

The Assisted School Travel Program (ASTP) plays a significant role in meeting the needs of eligible students with disability by providing free specialised transport to and from school where parents and carers are unable to provide or arrange transport to the student either fully or in part.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver customer-focused support services to ensure the operational functioning of the ASTP, including responding to general enquiries and providing accurate information in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Provide administrative assistance, including filing, records management, receipt and sorting of electronic mail, maintenance of official registers and documents, and data processing.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records in both electronic and hard copy forms in accordance with relevant Departmental policies and guidelines.
  • Prepare and submit reports, briefings, and other documents as required to meet internal and external requirements.
