About the Role

Ventia is seeking experienced Telecommunications Riggers to join our Wireless Network team in Brisbane, QLD. This role requires individuals to travel, complete regular overtime, and be away from home for extended periods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Upgrade and modify existing wireless telecommunication sites, including Mobile, Fixed Wireless, and Broadcast.
  • Install and test hybrid cables, PIM testing, sweep testing, distance to fault, terminating feeders, bird-proofing, and waterproofing connectors.
  • Read and interpret construction and As-built drawings, completing works to specification and standards.
  • Install and maintain antenna and feeder cables on monopoles and towers.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Telecommunication Rigger.
  • Experience with NBN wireless, Optus, TPG (desirable).
  • Current intermediate or advanced rigging ticket.
  • Ability to work with EWP and cranes.
  • Working at heights and Perform Tower Rescue certified, with the ability to comfortably operate at heights regularly.
  • RadHaz / EME Awareness.
