Aurecon is a leading design, engineering, and advisory company that has been shaping the future for decades. As a Lead Wind Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our Energy Practice, working on a wide range of projects across Australia, including wind farm development, design, and operation.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise clients on wind farm project development, design, and operation, from scoping to feasibility and design.
  • Manage or participate in procurement processes, including EPC/IPP functional specifications, tender evaluations, and contract negotiations.
  • Support project implementation through detailed design, owner's engineer, lenders engineer, and operation and maintenance phase support.
  • Work closely with cross-functional project teams and project managers to support client needs and financial decisions.
  • Apply your knowledge of wind energy technologies and the evolving renewable energy landscape to provide confident technical advice to clients.
What We're Looking For:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Chartered engineer status is desirable.
  • Experience in wind farm design, development, and operation as a developer, owner, or contractor is desirable.
  • Strong technical capability and report writing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients.
