About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our Hydro Operations team as a Hydro Operations Auxiliary Plant Attendant. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, contributing to the safe and efficient operation of our hydro generation plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in routine maintenance, inspections, and cleaning of power stations, dams, and buildings.
  • Support the maintenance team in carrying out minor repairs, servicing, and defect rectification.
  • Participate in low-impact environmental manual recovery and optimization of associated water catchment areas, including tasks such as hill ditching, increasing storage capacity in small dams, and clearing intake structures.
  • Conduct risk assessments, environmental, and safety inspections, and report operational defects as they arise.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in civil or estate works, or a background in forestry or farming.
  • A good understanding of the outdoor environment, with demonstrable knowledge of civil maintenance works such as ditching, road repairs, building maintenance, and general repairs.
  • Ability to work comfortably in all weather conditions and potentially outside of normal working hours.
  • A full and valid UK driving license is essential.
  • Residency within 30 miles of the listed site is required.
