About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sheetmetal Fabricator to join our team at a leading business in the stair industry. As a Sheetmetal Fabricator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining shearing, punching, and forming machines, cutting, forming, and joining sheet metal to fabricate parts, inspecting and checking finished parts for quality, and installing or repairing products made from sheet metal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain shearing, punching, and forming machines to fabricate high-quality sheet metal parts.
  • Cut, form, and join sheet metal to create custom-made timber stairs and other products.
  • Inspect and check finished parts for quality and accuracy.
  • Install or repair products made from sheet metal, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Read blueprints and drawings to determine the specific requirements of a job and ensure accurate fabrication and installation.
Requirements
  • Formal qualifications in the trade and an apprenticeship in Australia.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Sheetmetal Fabrication.
  • MIG experience is essential, with TIG experience also highly desirable.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to manage time effectively to a high degree of detail and quality.
  • Previous experience working across multiple industries would be highly advantageous.
