Job Opportunity
We are seeking experienced Occupational Therapists for short-term placements in rural and remote communities across Australia.
This is an opportunity to contribute to improving access to allied health services in underserved areas while gaining unique professional experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing clients' functional capacity and developing individualised treatment plans
- Delivering therapy that supports clients to achieve greater independence in their daily lives
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support continuity of care
- Providing assessments and interventions in diverse environments, including aged care facilities, hospitals, and community settings
- Educating clients, families, and support workers on therapeutic strategies
- Documenting clinical findings accurately and maintaining confidentiality
- Adapting quickly to varied clinical settings and community needs in rural and remote locations
- Unrestricted registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
- A minimum of two years' full-time equivalent clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist
- Evidence of at least 250 hours of relevant clinical practice within the past 12 months
- Current Basic Life Support certification with a practical assessment component
- Ability to remain calm and operate effectively in unstructured environments
