Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Principal Civil Engineer to join our Community Development team in Brisbane. The successful candidate will oversee the civil design and documentation of urban, land, and subdivision projects in both the public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, coordinate, and project manage urban, land, and subdivision projects from feasibility through to construction.
  • Prepare technical reports and specifications.
  • Provide technical expertise to clients and support projects.
  • Manage projects, including scheduling and preparation of project budgets.
  • Coordinate between disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Prepare and review proposals, variation estimates, and submission documents.
  • Contribute to the development of Stantec's knowledge and skills in civil engineering, including planning, design, and construction.
  • Maintain existing and develop new, trusted relationships with key clients.
  • Assist in securing and delivering projects through business development and client relationship management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering.
  • Substantial experience in civil engineering design and project delivery, ideally within urban, land, and subdivisions.
  • Experience and a sound understanding of current civil engineering technologies, including design, modeling, and construction.
  • Project management skills.
  • Business development skills, local industry knowledge, and connections in the market.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including report writing.
