Job Overview:

The Cloud Sales Specialist drives revenue growth by selling our cloud-based solutions to a defined territory.

This role supports Enterprise and Commercial Account Executives on sales meetings, aligning to multiple Sales Leaders and leading specific stages during the sales process.

As an expert in articulating value propositions, you'll understand end-user environments, challenges, and goals, and align our cloud solutions to those needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Qualify leads for SaaS services, helping field sellers develop opportunities to achieve revenue quota.
  • Maintain high levels of face-to-face and virtual meeting activity with customers, prospects, and partners.
  • Partner with Commvault field sellers and pre-sales engineers on SaaS opportunities, working jointly to closure.
  • Coach and share best practices with the broader sales organization.
  • Foster strategic relationships with customers, maintaining high contact levels.
  • Support deal negotiation and closure following company practices.
  • Manage your business in your territory, ensuring end-to-end management of identified SaaS services.
Requirements:

Requirements include:

  • Minimum 5+ years' demonstrated success in software sales.
  • Understanding of the SaaS data management industry, products, competitors, history, emerging trends, and changing marketplace.
  • Minimum 2 years' success in identifying, building relationships, and selling with channel partners.
  • Background in cloud, data center infrastructure, or cyber security.
  • Working understanding of public cloud offerings (AWS, Azure, and GCP).
  • Experience working with RTM partners hyperscalers, alliances, and GSI.
  • Experience selling solutions through public cloud marketplaces.
