The role involves cleaning the customer's site to the required standard at the frequency specified and within the timeframe set for the task.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mopping floors and cleaning up spills
  • Sweeping and vacuuming
  • Wiping and dusting
  • Cleaning windows
  • Cleaning toilets and toilet facilities
  • Polishing (by hand or machine)
  • Decanting of cleaning chemicals
  • Operation of cleaning equipment
  • Moving stock and equipment on site
  • Informing the Area Manager or Site Supervisor if the stocks of consumables are running low.
  • Emptying rubbish receptacles, replacing bin liners, and disposing of the bagged waste in the correct location.
  • Emptying recycle receptacles, replacing bin liners and disposing of the recyclable waste in the correct location.
  • Removing litter and debris from external areas of the site.
  • Recording any communications regarding the client, quality, equipment, or after-hours messages (to the Area Manager or Site Supervisor) in the Communications Register.
  • Maintaining site security applicable
  • Providing Customer Service
  • Any other tasks as required.
Equipment Safety and Maintenance:
  • Using the equipment on-site properly, safely, and maintaining it in good order.
  • Using the equipment within its capabilities and intended uses (i.e., as per the Site Supervisor or Area Manager's instructions)
  • Treating the equipment with care (e.g., removing power cords from the power outlet by the plug, not the lead)
  • Visually checking the condition of the equipment before use (e.g., for cord damage or that it has a current test tag that is current)
  • Promptly preventing the use of faulty or suspected dangerous equipment and informing the Site Supervisor or Area manager as soon as possible.
  • Cleaning equipment after use
  • Signing in via the Client's digital sign-in system.
Safe Work Practices:
  • Ensuring safe work practices are used on site.
  • Using and storing cleaning chemicals in accordance with the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and in the manner demonstrated by the Area Manager or Site Supervisor.
  • Complying with any site-specific work practices relating to emergency procedures or spill clean-up.
  • Ensuring you understand the company's WHS policies and procedures.
  • Promptly reporting any unsafe working conditions to the Site Supervisor or Area manager as soon as possible.
Requirements:
  • Able to work autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of OHS requirements.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to pass a baseline clearance.
