Coal Operations Specialist

Role Overview
As a coal technician, you will be responsible for manual handling of samples at collection points and during preparation processes.
You will also be required to interpret data provided from results and comply with set procedures and standards during preparation and analysis.
Strong communication and interaction skills are essential for this role, as you will be working closely with clients and presenting the SGS team in a positive manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Physically fit and active with the ability to lift heavy equipment.
- Open and valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel.
- Experience working in fast-paced and time-pressured environments.
- Cook sampling, testing, and preparation experience is preferred.
- Customer service skills are highly regarded, with experience meeting changing customer needs.
- Previous experience in mineral laboratory environments is an advantage.
- Year 10 secondary education with a science background or equivalent is desired.
