Position Overview:

The Brindley Park Property Group, part of Australian Country Choice, is a prominent operation specializing in Wagyu and Angus cattle breeding and commercial backgrounding. This position is based at Toarki station, overseeing a significant area dedicated to cattle management.

The successful candidate will operate independently, managing cattle care, water supply, maintenance, and infrastructure across a vast expanse of properties, encompassing 30,000 acres of breeding and backgrounding land.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and maintaining water systems and supply.
  • Ensuring general upkeep of the property, including fences, yards, and sheds.
  • Assisting with cattle processing and handling as needed.
  • Conducting regular monitoring and observations of cattle health and behavior.
  • Supporting various fabrication and infrastructure projects related to property CAPEX.
  • Executing supplement runs efficiently.
  • Maintaining accurate records and data collection.

Candidate Profile:

This role is ideal for an experienced cattle professional who is self-driven and capable of working independently while adhering to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A strong commitment to best practices in livestock handling and animal welfare.
  • Practical knowledge of property water systems.
  • A mechanical aptitude with comprehensive understanding of equipment and machinery operation, including welding skills.
  • Exceptional observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately document tasks and data using mobile applications or computers.
  • A commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • A valid manual driver's license.
  • A firearms license or the capability to obtain one.
  • Physical fitness to perform demanding tasks safely.
