Locksmith Position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Locksmith to join our team.

As a Locksmith, you will be responsible for providing locksmith services to residential, commercial, and automotive clients. This includes cutting and duplicating keys, installing, repairing, and replacing locks, as well as assessing security needs and recommending appropriate locking mechanisms.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform key cutting and duplication tasks using specialized tools and machinery.
  • Install, repair, and replace various types of locks, including padlocks, deadbolts, and electronic locks.
  • Assess security needs and recommend suitable locking mechanisms.
  • Provide emergency lockout services for residential, commercial, and automotive situations.
  • Integrate and maintain electronic security systems, such as access control and surveillance systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair security system components.
  • Design and implement master key systems for commercial and institutional clients.
  • Install and program keyless entry systems, including electronic keypads and smart locks.
  • Service and maintain safes, addressing issues with locks and mechanisms.
  • Extract broken or stuck keys from locks.
  • Repair malfunctioning locks and cylinders.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant qualifications in locksmithing or a related field.
  • A minimum of two-three years' experience in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of various types of locks, keys, and security systems.
  • Strong mechanical skills for repairing and installing locks and security systems.
  • Precise hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for key cutting and intricate lock manipulation.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Physical fitness for tasks such as lifting heavy safes or performing emergency lockout services.

Salary and Benefits:

The role offers a competitive remuneration package ranging from $85,000, plus superannuation for a 40-hour work week.
