We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Intelligence Specialist to join our Commercial Finance team in Melbourne. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing targeted marketing and pricing strategies, analyzing and interpreting large volumes of market and customer data, creating and managing reports, monitoring business performance, and assisting in decision-making to drive business growth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, with 5+ years of experience in an analytical role within a commercial or marketing environment. You will possess excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint skills, as well as a solid understanding of financial modeling and high-transaction industries. Experience in the FinTech, Utilities, or FMCG industry is highly advantageous.

The salary range for this position is AU$80,000 - AU$120,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

This role will suit a proven business partner who can provide quality financial information for senior management within agreed timescales and legal requirements. The purpose of the role is to be a key contributor to the company's commercial growth, reporting to the Commercial Director - Australasia. This role operates as an advisor and influencer of best possible commercial outcomes through real-time analysis and future-focused strategy.

  • Develop recommendations and strategies regarding customer segments, products, and pricing;
  • Analyze and combine market and internal data to interpret customer profitability;
  • Perform pricing and deal analysis and develop recommendations on product and pricing mix;
  • Assist Marketing functions with key market analytics and pricing analysis;

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, or a related field.
