Job Title:

Premier League Netball Coach

Description of the Role:

The Premier League Netball Coach plays a pivotal role in developing and progressing emerging elite athletes within the netball framework. The coach leads the team, fostering a high-performance environment that aligns with the club's values and strategic goals. The coach supports the broader athlete pathway into Premier League-level netball.

Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively to design and deliver training and match plans aligned with high-performance principles.
  • Evaluate athletes' holistic development, ensuring technical, tactical, physical, and psychological preparation.
  • Identify and support athletes for Premier League selection and higher representation.
  • Provide regular feedback on performance and development areas.
Alignment with Premier League Program:
  • Closely collaborate with the Premier League Head Coach to ensure consistency in coaching philosophy and game strategies.
  • Attend combined training sessions and strategy meetings as required.
  • Provide regular performance updates and insights on Reserves players.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and professional team culture reflective of netball values.
Game Day Responsibilities:
  • Lead all aspects of game day preparation and performance.
  • Monitor and manage court time and rotations.
  • Support injury management with club physiotherapists and staff.
Talent Identification & Pathway Integration:
  • Engage with local talent identification processes to scout emerging athletes.
  • Support transition plans for identified Reserves players stepping into Premier League roles.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong leadership, communication, and athlete management skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to work as part of a performance team.
  • Commitment to continual professional development.
