The Central Coast is part of the Emergency Medicine Network 2 Training Programme, offering a comprehensive education programme contributing to primary exam preparation and fellowship preparation.
As an advanced trainee in this region, you will experience the benefits of working in busy mixed emergency departments with a wide variety of presentations. This includes excellent exposure to trauma, paediatrics, medicine and surgery.
Career progression may be available for trainees moving through training towards consultant level. The NSW Central Coast offers a relaxed coastal lifestyle paired with a rewarding career supporting a rapidly growing population.
Central Coast Emergency Medicine
Gosford and Wyong Emergency Departments are well-supported by passionate emergency physicians who are committed to your development and wellbeing.
- Be registered as an advanced trainee at the time of commencement of employment as per the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) requirements.
- A minimum of three years full-time equivalent postgraduate hospital experience with significant experience in an Australasian emergency department.
- Demonstrate excellent clinical skills, knowledge and judgement.
- Exhibit success working in a multidisciplinary team, providing leadership and effective communication to ensure appropriate patient management.
