This is a unique opportunity to provide holistic outcome-focussed rehabilitation services. As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will call on your clinical reasoning skills and expertise to support clients who have suffered from a diverse range of injuries, illnesses or trauma. Your role involves:
- Taking a more holistic care approach & working within a multidisciplinary team to support the journey from rehab to healing.
- Utilising clinical reasoning skills and expertise to support people who have suffered from a diverse range of injuries, illnesses or trauma.
- Working with motivated clients to develop, implement, and monitor their rehabilitation plans whilst having onsite access to medical and treatment providers for additional direct support.
- Performing a variety of specific assessments including worksite, ergonomic and ADL's.
We offer various working models to fit your needs, including part-time (3 or 4 days) or full-time positions. You will be supported and mentored through direct interaction and an extensive onboarding process to build your technical knowledge and expertise.
The ability to work in a hybrid role gives you the flexibility to tailor your calendar to suit both your clients' needs and your best work-life balance. Defence members work hours are 07:30 - 15:30, allowing for early starts and finishes.

To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
- Current unrestricted registration as an OT with AHPRA.
- Strong clinical reasoning & report writing skills.
- Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support the achievement of rehab goals.
- Passion to help people rehabilitate.
