Perth College UHI is recognized as one of Scotland's premier institutions for Further and Higher Education, and plays a significant role in the University of the Highlands and Islands.
We are seeking a Work Based Assessor specializing in Automotive Maintenance and Repair. This position entails performing assessments both in the workplace and at the college, conducting internal verification, and ensuring that all necessary documentation for candidates pursuing vocational qualifications is accurately maintained. Additionally, the role involves fostering relationships with industry partners and generating new business opportunities for the college.
Candidates should possess relevant qualifications, such as a Modern Apprenticeship or SVQ Level 3 in Automotive Maintenance and Repair, or an equivalent credential, along with practical experience in the motor trade. Ideally, applicants should also hold an assessor qualification, such as D32/33, A1, or L&D9DI; however, this can be obtained during employment if necessary. A willingness and ability to travel for candidate assessments is essential.
Note: This position involves regulated work with children, and a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme check will be required.
