Internal Auditor Role

At our organization, we believe in striving for excellence. As an Internal Auditor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity of our operations.

About the Opportunity

The internal audit team is responsible for providing independent assurance to stakeholders. Our team focuses on financial and non-financial risk.

  • Contribute to the execution of audit programs aligned with the strategic internal audit plan.
  • Effectively execute risk audit engagements within specified timeframes.
  • Deliver high-quality assurance reports and support internal audit leaders in discussions with senior management, executives, and board sub-committees.
  • Participate in periodic strategic audit plan development activities and contribute to the development of the team's goals and strategy.

This is a 12-month fixed-term, full-time position located in Melbourne, Bendigo, or Adelaide. We offer flexible work arrangements with a minimum requirement of 40% of your time per week in the office, increasing to 60% as of July 2025.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Relevant tertiary qualification, such as accounting, business, finance, economics, or commerce, with postgraduate qualifications like CA/CPA/Grad Cert IIA/CIA/CISA being ideal.
  • Experience in internal auditing gained through audit, risk management, or consultancy, with experience in banking and financial services being preferred.
  • Ability to effectively evaluate risks, ideally regulatory compliance and operational risk.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment, including with external vendors, across multiple reviews.
  • Ability to learn and assess new concepts quickly, including through sound research skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and effectively communicate, both written and verbally.
