Civil Construction Trainee - Kickstart Your Career

This is an exciting opportunity to join Shadforth Civil Contractors, one of Queensland's largest family-owned civil construction companies. As a Civil Construction Trainee, you will be working towards a Certificate III in Civil Construction and gaining valuable industry experience.


About the Role:
This permanent position offers a great chance to kickstart your career in civil construction. You will be working on a variety of projects, including residential and commercial subdivisions, major civil infrastructure, and roads and bridges. Our traineeship program combines formal training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and practical on-the-job experience.
Responsibilities:
As a Civil Construction Trainee, your responsibilities will include:
  • Working on-site with our experienced team
  • Completing a Certificate III in Civil Construction through a combination of formal training and on-the-job experience
  • Gaining skills and knowledge needed to build a successful career in civil construction

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following capabilities and knowledge:A commitment to both on and off the job trainingA good work ethic and strong desire for a career in civil constructionThe ability to work in a team environmentA strong understanding of safety and manual handling techniquesA strong attention to detailThe passion for working outdoors and being physically fit to perform manual tasks
Mandatory Requirements:
To be eligible for this role, you must have:
  • A current driver's license and reliable transport
  • A WHS Construction Industry Induction (White Card) or willingness to obtain
  • An ability to work Monday to Friday 6:30am to 5:00pm and Saturdays as required

Salary:
This role comes with a competitive salary of $70,000 per annum, plus superannuation.
