Electrical Engineering Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Electrical Engineer to lead our engineering projects, focusing on electrical and instrumentation systems. This role requires expertise in designing, implementing, and managing complex electrical systems.

  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering is required.
  • Familiarity with LV and HV distribution systems, motor control centres, and switchboards is essential.
  • RPEQ registration is mandatory for this position.
  • Experience with PTW and eTap is preferred but not necessary.
  • PLC and Remote IO control system design skills are highly valued.
  • Mastery of material handling and process plant instrumentation design is crucial.
  • Experience with open pit and underground mining electrical infrastructure is necessary.
  • HV and LV power system modelling and protection design skills are desired.
  • Extensive experience in the mining, oil and gas, water, and infrastructure sectors is expected.
  • The ability to generate study reports, scopes of work, equipment specifications, and datasheets is vital.
  • Estimating and quoting engineering work expertise is necessary.
  • A strong focus on safety in design is highly regarded.
  • Multiple project management skills with conflicting deadlines are essential.
  • A proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to standards is necessary.
  • Effectively working in multidisciplinary teams is critical.

Requirements:

  • A degree or equivalent in Electrical, Instrument, Control, or Mechatronics engineering is mandatory.
  • This role involves mainly office-based work with occasional onsite duties.
